The domOS ecosystem provides a solution to the problem of subsystems working as silos. These subsystems include heat pumps, solar inverters, smart metre and other similar systems. In enabling the deployment of applications across these subsystems, synchronised operations are possible which makes energy management easier. One of the scientists working on domOS is Associate Professor, Ph.D at Aalborg University Brian Nielsen. In an interview, Mr Nielsen states that the domOS platform is in beta development, but that "it will be tested and demonstrated during the next half year. (...) Then it will be publicly released."
