Professors Michael Toft Overgaard and Mette Nyegaard from Aalborg University in Denmark are set to speak at the annual joint symposium of the Australian Academy of Science and the Australian Academy of Law. They will discuss their experience in bringing scientific discovery to a legal inquiry, which led to the exoneration of Kathleen Folbigg. Ms Nyegaard is the Head of Research Group in Genomic Medicine at Aalborg University and Head of the Department of Congenital Disorders at Statens Serum Institute.
