Aalborg University (AAU), in collaboration with Wavepiston and DTU - Technical University of Denmark, has secured a grant from the Energy Technology Development and Demonstration Program (EUDP) for a project aimed at developing a lighter, cheaper, and more robust version of the Wavepiston energy collector. Claes Eskilsson from Aalborg University states: "The use of flexible bodies to reduce extreme loads is a path that we at AAU look forward to pursuing together with Wavepiston and DTU in this very interesting and challenging project."
