Description
Research Focus
The aim of the Experimental Cutaneous Pain Research laboratory is to develop, refine and apply techniques for assessment of cutaneous pain and peripheral neuropathy. We are especially interested in the perception of temporal and spatially complex pain stimuli, small cutaneous nerve fiber excitability.
Specialized Equipment
• Infrared laser systems for spatiotemporal pain stimulation
• Quantitative sensory testing
• Full Field Laser Speckle Contrast Imager for cutaneous blood flow
• LabBench
• Perception Threshold Tracking
• Nerve Fiber Excitability Testing
