The project "Motorvejsbelysning" sought to study how traffic security and accessibility were affected if the lightning on 30 km of highway were turned off. The project found no effect on either accessibility or amount accidents - therefore the Danish Road Directorate will turn off the lights permanently. This is a public policy impact, as the project's results have contributed in political change in lightning for this piece of highway.
