Center for Developmental & Applied Psychological Science - also known as CeDAPS - is a research unit at The Department of Communication and Psychology – Aalborg University, Denmark.

CeDAPS is emerged from the former Cognitive Psychology Unit or CPU.

Aim of Center for Developmental & Applied Psychological Science

The aim of CeDAPS is to investigate theoretical, empirical and applied aspects of human lifelong development. The CeDAPS gives students at Aalborg University the opportunity to learn research tehcniques in psychology from an applied and problem-based approach. Particular expertise exists in the areas of general and applied approaches to memory, typical and atypical development, communication and culture.

We provide research based teaching and supervision at the Bachelor, Master and Ph.D. level. Notably we run two Graduate programmes: One programme is on applied cognitive development with youth and adults – KANUK, which in addition to Danish students also hosts Erasmus and exchange students from across the world and is in collaboration with the psychology department at Seville University, Spain. The second programme is a Clinic for Developmental Communication Disorders - DCD. The clinic offers short term assessment and intervention for school-age children and is in collaboration with NASUD and School of Health Sciences,  City University, London.

We provide supervision in Danish, English, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Slovakian.
