Organisation profile

Centre for Dialogue and Organizationis an academic environment in communication studies, including established researchers as well as ph.d. students, communication consultants and supervisors attached to the Department of Communication at Aalborg University. Through cooperation with employees at all levels the members of Centre for Dialogue and Organization have developed knowledge about professional face-to-face communication between people in organisations and institutions. We call this interpersonal organisational communication, which in Danish is abbreviated as IPOK.

The purpose of Centre for Dialogue and Organizationis to:

  • strengthen the integration between theory and practice in education, research and in cooperation with external partners
  • develop and present research in interpersonal organisational communication (IPOK)
  • develop an inspiring environment that can support Ph.D. students and MA students working with IPO
  • strengthen networks and contacts to external target groups within private enterprise and public institutions
  • expand national and international networkd with researchers and practitioner
  • develop a democratic organisation
  • to give the members of Centre for Dialogue and Organizationthe possibility of developing in accordance with the aims of Centre for Dialogue and Organization
