Centre for Education Policy Research conducts research about education and education politics and how this is transformed and implemented in governance, curriculum, teaching and instruction, pedagogies and forms of evaluation within regional, national and transnational contexts.
We work with approaches from sociology, history, ethnography, cultural- and critical race studies, didactics- and curriculum studies, aesthetics and political science, and emphasize interdisciplinarity and comparative perspectives. The research centre is based in Aalborg and Copenhagen.
We contribute with knowledge regarding these four societal challenges and issues:
- Equality, inequality and diversity
- Governing, participation and autonomy
- Periphery, polarization and social cohesion
- Discipline, citizenship and creativity
Head of the center is Professor Mette Buchardt
