Organisation profile

Organisation profile

In the autumn of 2020 Denmark embraced the notion of clusters as a vehicle for business development, designating and financially supporting ten national cluster organizations (and four potential ones). This is a clear break with previous practice where cluster organizations existed, at best, at the regional and presented a fragmented picture of interfirm and public-private collaboration.

This experiment in business development deserves the full support of knowledge institutions, and all the new cluster organizations are with appointing board members with university etc. background. We propose that AAU takes the new game to the next level by actively engaging in research, knowledge co-creation and interaction with the new cluster organizations. This can be achieved through an initiative that brings scholars together from across disciplines, primarily but not exclusively, from the new Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities at Aalborg University.
