Organisation profile

Head of Research Group: Søren Liedtke Thorndahl

The Urban Hydrology research group conducts broad research on the urban water cycle, including how climate change affects both technical and natural water systems. We map floods, solve water management problems, and assess environmental impacts on streams, lakes, soil, groundwater, and the sea resulting from the discharge of rainwater and wastewater from cities. Methodologically, we work experimentally, using numerical modeling and geographical analysis of water and substance transport processes.
