Professor Lars Bo Ibsen

The research of the group concerns the geotechnical and hydraulic aspects related to offshore wind turbines, in particular regarding the design and development of foundations and models for the determination of forces from ocean waves and current. The research is based on a combination of computational models and physical models in the laboratory and in the field. Research also focuses on research activities of the group is the wish to contribute to a better understanding and modelling of such phenomena as scour and sedimentation, debris flow, wave impact on structures, large deformations in saturated granular materials and liquefaction.
