Organisation profile

The Department of Culture and Learning is a department concerned with socially relevant issues, aiming to make a difference for institutions, businesses and people. The Department has a large national and international network encompassing private as well as public-sector enterprises and organizations. There is close collaboration between the Department and Danish as well as international institutions of education. 

In all activities, we place great emphasis on strengthening the ties between research, education and professional practice. The Department conducts research, teaching and knowledge collaboration with the surrounding society at the highest academic level within the fields of pedagogic innovation and didactics, organizational learning, learning in the workplace, education and evaluation, cross-cultural encounters, migration and processes of globalization, tourism, Arctic affairs, democracy, literature, media, techno-anthropology, applied philosophy, ethics, technology and digitalization processes, daycare, primary, secondary and tertiary schooling, youth, business communication as well as languages and language development, etc.

Organizationally, the Department belongs under Faculty of the Humanities at Aalborg University, having activities at Aalborg University Campus Aalborg as well as at Campus Copenhagen.
