In the Vascular Surgical Research Unit, research is primarily performed on cardiovascular diseases, with emphasis on peripheral vascular disease.
We collaborate with other vascular surgical research units in Denmark and have close cooperation with other research units at Aalborg University Hospital. We are involved in and provide the teaching and supervision of medical students.
Particular focus is on the treatment and prevention of atherosclerosis including lipid metabolism - one of the spearhead functions of Aalborg University Hospital.
