Reading cognition is a research group that aims to investigate the cognitive foundations of reading. Reading cognition is a research area within cognitive psychology with various opportunities for both basic and applied research within pedagogy, reading difficulties, rehabilitation etc.
The group focus on experimental studies of the cognitive and linguistic processes behind reading and reading comprehension, including factors such as:
o individual differences
o contextual and task factors
o second language acquisition
The group uses research methods that include cognitive experiments, eye tracking, computational models and field studies. The group's members have external collaboration with COST-action CA21131 MultiplEYE) and participate in international research projects MECO and MeRID.
