In the research group, we examine how the political and politics are understood and practiced in the mediated and digitalised world. We explore the relationship between, on the one hand, the citizens' and social movements' practices and activism, and on the other hand, the political system and its decision making processes. It follows that the research group takes the political to mean the productions of and the challenges to publics and public formations. In this way, the group aims to push the boundaries of the conceptualisation and expand the parametres of what political communication is and can be.
