Organisation profile

Organisation profile

PRIMA is a mission-oriented research center dedicated to strengthening primary health care through sustainable research and strategic collaborations. We address pressing health challenges and work to improve citizens' health, quality of life, functional ability, and workforce participation.

A Strategic and Agile Approach

PRIMA combines a clear long-term strategy with agility in project development. In the short term, we develop and implement solutions that make an immediate impact. At the same time, we build research capacity and foster interdisciplinary collaborations to ensure sustainable and lasting improvements for both citizens and the healthcare system.

Focus on Citizen Involvement and Collaboration

Citizen and caregiver perspectives are a central part of PRIMA’s work. Through co-creation with municipalities, regions, and private stakeholders, we develop solutions that are deeply rooted in practice. This ensures that our research not only generates new knowledge but also leads to tangible improvements in healthcare services and patient pathways.

Supporting the National Health Agenda

PRIMA’s work aligns with national priorities to strengthen primary health care and improve transitions between healthcare sectors. We contribute to reducing social health inequalities and developing technology-based solutions that enhance the efficiency and accessibility of healthcare for all citizens.

PRIMA's Strategic Missions

PRIMA focuses on three core missions addressing the most significant challenges in primary health care. These missions are designed to create sustainable solutions that support both citizens and healthcare professionals working in the primary sector.

2. Sustainable Rehabilitation During and After Illness

This mission focuses on developing and implementing rehabilitation programs that are both individually tailored and sustainable for the healthcare system.

3. Technology-Enabled Integrated Patient Pathways
