The research group SAB (Social work in the employment policy front line) contributes with research on the practice of social work in the field of employment.

SAB analyzes ow political reforms are turned into reality at the local job centers. This deals with, among other things, what happens in meetings between employees in the field of employment and citizens with complex problems, as well as how these citizens are involved and experience their situation.

Several of SAB’s research projects are carried out in dialogue and close collaboration with municipal actors and stakeholders in the field. This ongoing dialogue contributes to higher impact and allows the research to help foster real societal changes.

SAB originates from the research group FoSo (abbreviation for Research in Social Work), which is Denmark's largest research environment within social work. SAB works closely with the research groups in FoSo. SAB does not have a long history of status as a research group. However, the researchers at SAB have been central in this specific field of research nationally and internationally for many years.
