The Section for Sustainable Biotechnology was established at Aalborg University Copenhagen (AAU Cph) in August 2008 as a platform for Aalborg University to perform research and education in the biotechnology field at Campus Copenhagen with emphasis on sustainable conversion of biomass into chemicals, fuels and materials (including feed and food).

Section for Sustainable Biotechnology is part of AAU's Department of Biotechnology, Chemistry and Environmental Engineering, but is placed at our Campus in Copenhagen at A.C. Meyers Vænge 15, "Sydhavnen" close to central Copenhagen, for the recruitment of students and the realization of research projects in the Copenhagen area.

The Section offer Bachelor and Master Programmes in Sustainable Biotechnology as well as regular PhD courses.

Fingerprint The fingerprint is based on mining the text of the scientific documents related to the associated persons. Based on that an index of weighted terms is created, which defines the key subjects of research unit
