Organisation profile

Media Technology focus on research within technology, creativity and the combination of the two. Concretely, studies and combination of advanced technologies in areas such as computer vision and graphics, computer games, sensing and audio technology, interactive sound, animations, art and entertainment. At the same time it is investigated how these technologies influence human perception and interaction by applying them in solving real world problems.

At campus Aalborg the research is concentrated about more "traditional" subjects as vision, audio, graphics and interaction design. Especially the two research groups within Visual Analysis of People and the Audio Analysis Laboratory are both well established with a longer track record with national and international projects. In addition to these two groups the Computer Graphics and Interaction laboratory are two younger emerging groups.

Fingerprint The fingerprint is based on mining the text of the scientific documents related to the associated persons. Based on that an index of weighted terms is created, which defines the key subjects of research unit
