Head of Division Ernst Jan de Place Hansen
The division is organised in four research groups:
- Building Physics Research Group
- Indoor Environmental Quality and Building Systems Research Group
- Management and Innovation for Sustainable Construction Research Group
- Fungi and Problematic Substances Research Group
The Division of Management and Indoor Environment works with theoretical modelling and experimental characterisation of constructions, geotecnics, structures and construction and building materials.
Our focus is on assessing safety and risk at multiple levels, from material and component scale to system level. In addition, the division works with the industry's user and working practices, framework terms and value, as well as develops theory and tools for robust decision-making to ensure both durable and economically optimized as well as climate-adapted and sustainable solutions.
