Personal profile

Research profile

For several years, I have worked with research, research management and teaching in social work, employment, and sociology.

As a researcher, I have especially contributed to:

  • The understanding and development of employment professionalism among social workers and other employees in the employment efforts for vulnerable groups.
  • The understanding of how organizational, institutional, and political frameworks interact with the development of professional roles and professional practice resulting in increasingly hybrid forms of welfare professionalism.
  • The understanding of the interaction between the employment system and private and public workplaces.

I have a broad interest in sociological research and theory and in understanding the public sector of the welfare state and the employees who work in it.

I have a broad experience of teaching, supervising, lecturing in academic as well as more popular contexts.
