Research profile

I am associate professor in Music Therapy, Aalborg University, shared research group leader, and head of research communication at the Center for Documentation and Research in Music Therapy, AAU www.cedomus.aau.dk

I research interactions and relationship formation, primarily in music therapy for people with autism, but also within the field of dementia and family interactions. My research method is primarily inductive video analysis focusing on making tacit knowledge explicit.

Teaching profile

On the Bachelor’s and Master’s programs in Music Therapy, AAU, I teach music psychology, music therapy theory, qualitative research methods and video observation. I supervise the students' PBL projects incl. Master's theses, and guides the students in intertherapy or when they are in practice.

PhD Supervision

I have supervised music therapy PhD students since 2010 and been on several PhD assessment committees at AAU and internationally.
