Main research areas:

  • pain neuroscience
  • neuro-rehabilitation.

Aims:

  • understand the neural mechanisms behind pain processing in humans.
  • give insights into the neuroplastic changes associated with chronic pain.

Main techniques:

  • techniques to stimulate the human tissue (such as electrical and laser stimulation)
  • recordings and analysis of behavioral responses to the stimuli
  • recordings and analysis several electrophysiological responses such as electroencephalography (EEG) and electromyography (EMG).

My teaching activities are in the following programs:
- the Doctoral School in Medicine, Biomedical Science and Technology.
- Biomedical Engineering (Sundhedsteknologi).
- Medicine with Industrial Specialization (Medicin med Industriel Specialisering).
