Research profile

MA in Applied Linguistic from Beijing Normal University, China (2010), Chinese language and culture teacher at Aalborg University (AAU) (since 2011), PhD in education from AAU (2015),  Research assistant at AAU (2017-2019), and Postdoctoral researcher at AAU on the Sapere Aude funded project ‘Education Access under the Reign of Testing and Inclusion’ (PI Christian Ydesen) (since 2020). Her PhD dissertation is titled Learner Motivation in Teaching and Learning Chinese as A Foreign Language – Why Does Teaching and Learning Method Matter? She was involved in a Sino-Danish faculty development research project at The Aalborg Centre for Problem Based Learning in Engineering Science and Sustainability, AAU and UNESCO during 2017-2019. Her primary research areas are policy and practices around testing and inclusion, learner-centred teaching and learning in higher education (i.e., task-based teaching and learning, problem-based learning), motivation for learning, pedagogical design and faculty development.
