Research profile

My research has translated into 5 main research streams in which focus is on 1) sustainability transitions, SDGs and with prominence given to particiaptory action research, 2) entrepreneurship as change agents in the sustainability transition, 3) governance and participatory processes with focus on how sustainability and practices are localised and governed at multiple scales; 4) 'learning' as how and what is learning with focus on the role of materialities as well as technologies 5) creative anthropological methods

In 2016 I founded the Creative Learning Lab in which students collaborate with a broad range of different stakeholders from start-ups to international businesses, governments and NGOs to practice, learn, and co-create sustainability solutions to local, societal or systemic challenges. Creative Learning Lab has been implemented in a range of different context all over the world. The model generates teaching-based research as well as research based teaching.
