Research profile

My research interests are directed towards the development of innovative industrial chemical processes aimed at increased sustainability and profitability. My activities encompass experiments on both reactive and separation processes, on phase equilibrium, as well as the use of the experimental data to model single units and to analyse chemical processes as a whole.

With regard to industrial application areas, I am particularly interested in processes based on supercritical fluids (e.g. fractionation of oils using supercritical carbon dioxide, hydrothermal liquefaction of biomass) and in Oil & Gas processes (e.g. H2S scavenging, optimization of separation train).
