Research profile
The main focus of my research is calcium signaling in health and disease. In particular, I am interested in calmodulin: Mutations in calmodulin encoding genes cause severe cardiac arrhythmia in children. I am part of a research team focused on explaining this correlation molecularly.
I primarily work in living model organisms and have a background in cell biology. My main method is advanced microscopy.
