Research profile

I am a higher education scholar with specialization and expertise in artificial intelligence in higher and professional education. My curent main focus is on genAI's interplay with learning. I am also researching the hopes and dreams that drive the implementation of AI in universities and other educational institutions.

I have also worked on the topics of digital transformation of higher education (especially impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic), student learning, organizational change in higher education, as well as higher education policy and politics (Denmark and Europe), study reform projects, strategic study program design and other current developments in higher and further education.

An on-going focus points is furthermore research on the policy and organization of Problem-based Learning (PBL).

My research integrates practice theory, activity theory, Scandinavian New Institutionalism, and post-structural and neo-material epistemologies in order to understand higher education as an arena and part of broader societal phenomena.

Methodologically, I am rooted in the empirical and mixed methods paradigm with expanding interests in discursive and socio-material practices.

I am passionate about teaching and learning, and my engagement has been honored with the Teacher of the Year-prize from the Study Board Learning, IT and Organization (LIO) in 2023.
