Research profile

I am researching higher education under a policy-organization/institution-practice perspective. The focus of my research can be found in three overlapping areas, being Digital Transformation(s) in Higher Education, Policy and Organization of Problem-Based Learning  and research on the Future of Social Sciences and Humanities.

I am invested in high-level, internationally recognized research in these areas. Specifically, I am working with theories and research approaches such as practice theory, poststructuralist theory and artistic approaches to research and learning design. This also means that my focus is not purely pedagogical and/or implementation-related, but on pedagogical phenomena as indicators for larger developments in the realm of higher education policy and practice.

As a “blended scholar” I am part of the Centre for Educational Policy Research (CfU, Prof. Mette Buchardt) and the Institute for Advance Studies in Problem Based Learning (IAS PBL, Prof. Thomas Ryberg). On-going collaborations are with the NIFU – Nordisk institutt for studier av innovasjon, foskning og utdanning, Olso (Dr. Sabine Wollscheid), with the NOS HE-group (Universities Agder, Aarhus and Stockholm) as well as internal colleagues at our department and at the IAS PBL.
