Personal profile

Research profile

Chiara´s research profile lies at the intersection of financial reporting and management control. Specifically, during her Ph.D., she received a research grant from SIDREA (Società Italiana dei Docenti di Ragioneria ed Economia Aziendale) for her project on risk management in SMEs.

The research on risk management then focused on cyber risk management in financial institutions as cyber risk has become an embedded feature of the global risk landscape.

Over the past few years, Chara´s interest has shifted to risk reporting as a possible element of convergence between financial and management accounting. In addition, Chiara focused on the impact that recent non-financial regulations have had on large companies to disclose information about the main risks and business model. She also obtained a research grant from SIDREA, and another one from ICAS and EFRAG for two research projects in the field.

Finally, the topic of risk reporting is linked to sustainability risks and sustainability reporting. Her future research focuses on the relationship between sustainability reporting and financial reporting. In this regard, Chiara joined the AAUBS Sustainability Lab and, in March 2023, she entered the SSH Talent Programme and got research funds to investigate more in-depth the topic of internal sustainability reporting.
