Research profile

My research field is on toxic behaviors and bystander reactions in online competitive multiplayer games, and is situated within micro-sociology, video-based analysis, and digital sociology. I explore how encounters with toxic behaviors are structured with a particular focus on bystander reactions. Furthermore, using field experiments I examine the potentials of pro-social bystander interventions in mitigating toxicity.

Project period: November 2021 - October 2024.
