He then left UET to have worked as an Asstt. Prof in the Department of Electrical Engineering ICBS Lahore in 2016 where he worked till December 2017 his duties include Project Manager for final year student projects, Program Manager/Department Coordinator, IEEE Branch Counsellor, IEEE PES Advisor, and CPD activities coordinator. Engr. Majid Ali (M’12-SM’22) received his BSc (2013) and MSc (2016) in Electrical Engineering and Electric power and Energy Engineering from the University of Management & Technology (UMT) Lahore Pakistan on a fully funded Scholarship. He was a Gold and Bronze Medalist in the field of Electrical Technology from the Punjab Board of Technical Education (PBTE) Lahore. He joined the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore-affiliated college Sharif College of Engineering & Technology (SCET) in 2013 where he worked till 2016 as a Lecturer in the Department of Electrical Engineering. He has dedicated more than 13 years of experience to working with academicians and with the electrical industry like SCET-UET, ICBS, UCET-UOS, IEEE-PU, IEE&CE-PU, and EED-UOL. This has resulted in professional competency in all operational and technical aspects of Electrical Power Systems. Employed with academia and Industry as an Electrical Engineer teaching Undergraduate and graduate level courses, Supervising BSc FYP Projects and MSc Thesis., He has demonstrated strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in high-pressure and challenging working environments. His responsibilities varied throughout the Industrial Liaison Committee, Convener Alumni/Employer Committee, and Convener Academia/Industry linkages Committee. In addition, he was relied upon to manage vendors and execute projects and maintenance strategies within an economical budget. He is an active member of IEEE and has served in different honorary positions. He was a Core Committee member at the IEEE Industry Applications Society (2015) which is responsible for technical and professional activities across Pakistan. He is a Social Entrepreneur, a senior member of IEEE, a member of IEEE Smart Grid Operations Committee USA, a member of IET, a member of IAENG, an IDA Member of Denmark, and a lifetime member of the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC). He was a member of the Young Engineers Development Committee (YEDC) – PEC, 2015-2018. His research interests include: - Electrical Power and Energy Engineering. - Power Generation, Transmission, and Distribution - Demand Side Management, Smart Grid, Smart Cities, and Renewable Energy Systems. - Power system operations, reliability, and optimization, and microgrid optimal sizing. - Power Electronics, Energy Optimization, and Energy conversion efficiency. - Power Distribution management and smart solutions for load management. He has functional knowledge of all electrical legislation, codes, and standards of practice, and has gained expertise in the use of industry-specific tools and applications.

Currently, he is a Ph.D. Research Scholar(https://vbn.aau.dk/en/persons/153351) at the Center for Research on Microgrids (CROM), Department of Energy Technology, Aalborg University, Denmark on fully funded Scholarship by Punjab Educational Endowment Fund (PEEF) Chief Minister Merit Scholarships (CMMS)/Ph.D. Foreign Scholarships for top 50 QS Rank Universities/Departments in World. He has worked and involves in the TECHIn(www.tech-in.et.aau.dk) Project (Microgrid Technologies for Remote and Island Communities under Natural Disasters) sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, DANIDA Fellowship Centre (Project No. 20-M06-AAU) and supported by DANIDA Fellowship Centre.  The research is focusing on Planning, Energy Management, and optimization for microgrid systems.

1. Awarded Chief Minister Merit Scholarships (CMMS) for Ph.D. Study into 50 QS Ranking University of the world in the area of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at AAU Energy, Aalborg University, Aalborg Denmark.
2. Best Paper Award of the title’ ’Designing and Simulation of Load Control & Monitoring System through Demand Side Management Technique” Published in the proceedings of the 2016 8th International Renewable Energy Congress (IREC) March 21-23, 2017, Jordan.
3. Awarded Merit Scholarships for MS/MPhil Electric Power and Energy Engineering on a Merit Base from the University of Management and Technology Lahore (2013-2015).
4. Awarded Rector's Merit Award and Got a Cash Prize amount of 24,000PKR from the University of Management and Technology Lahore (Fall 2012).
5. Awarded fully funded Scholarships for BS Electrical Engineering on Merit Base from the University of Management and Technology Lahore and the Government of Punjab Pakistan (2009-2013).
6. First position in Electrical Technology (All Punjab) and Won Gold Medal from Punjab Board of Technical Education Lahore (2007).
7. Overall, the third position in All Technologies (All Punjab) and Won the Bronze Medal from the Punjab Board of Technical Education Lahore (2007).
8. Got a Cash Prize amount of 20,0000PKR from Punjab Board of Technical Education Lahore and an amount of 20,0000PKR from HIRA College Sargodha (2006-2007).
