Research profile

Sudden cardiac death among young individuals may be attributed to genetic variation associated with cardiomyopathy or ion channel diseases. Genetic testing can potentially be used to determine the cause of death and to identify individuals at risk. However, the interpretation of tests is difficult because of the uncertain significance of many variants. My research concerns the investigations variations of the DNA and RNA to improve the understanding of the cause of cardiac arrhythmias and sudden cardiac death.
