Personal profile
Research profile
I joined geotechnical engineering group of Aalborg University, Denmark and completed a PhD in 2012. Following 3 years Postdoc and visiting research associate positions at Aalborg University and Technical University of Denmark, respectively, I took up Postdoc position in geotechnical engineering at Virginia Tech, USA from December 2015.
My research is mainly focused on emerging green energy technologies and soil-structure interaction including the behavior of offshore foundations for wind turbines. I have also been working on soil liquefaction as well as nonlinear mechanics. I am passionate about performance based-design and conceptual development of offshore foundations towards final prototypes.
My publications have received more than 2170 citations according to Google Scholar (h-index: 28). I have been privileged with publishing over 50 selected journal papers as well.
I am co-founder of the Mechanical Sciences Journal sponsored by the Delft University of Technology and serve on the Editorial Board of: Proceedings of the Institution of Civil Engineers - Geotechnical Engineering, Ships and Offshore Structures (Taylor & Francis) and Journal of Marine Georesources and Geotechnology (Taylor & Francis).
I have also been part of organizing committee in 36th International Conference on Ocean, Offshore & Arctic Engineering (OMAE 2017, Norway),35th International Conference on Ocean, Offshore and Arctic Engineering (OMAE 2016, South Korea), International Conference on Ships and Offshore Structures (ICSOS), Hamburg, 2016 and Seventh International Conference on Case Histories in Geotechnical Engineering, Chicago, 2013. During the past years, I was invited as a guest lecturer to present my work in Offshore Renewable Energy at several universities in Europe and Asia including my recent speak (September 2015) at Technical University of Denmark- section for fluid mechanics, coastal and maritime engineering.
