Research profile

In my research, I merge philosophy of technology with theories of democracy, social problems, and social work. I am interested in core concepts such as time, space, care, justice and equality and how they emerge and change in pracitce. E.g. how forms of political engagement and participation develop as heterogenous network effects both reinforcing and countering existing power relations, how social problems and organisational meanings are constructed in datafication processes, and how social work responds to technological innovations and how new dilemmas and potentials emerge as a result. I use qualitative methods including ethnographic field work, observations, interviews and document studies.
