Research profile

Primary research interests are different forms of social differentiation – according to class, gender, ethnicity and sexuality – as well as processes of social marginalisation and forms of social control. The empirical research fields covered span from prostitution and trafficking to cultural consumptions and management of emotions. A series of different methods are put to work, but primarily ethnographic fieldwork and interviews. I have a solid experience of teaching, research, publishing and fund-raising, as well as of research leadership, having been PI for two larger research programmes (financed from DFF) and two research networks (financed from DFF and from NOS-HS).
