Research Profile

Bastian researches Human-Computer Interaction with novel media technologies such as mobile UX, brain-computer interfaces (BCI) and virtual reality (VR). His multidisciplinary profile is founded on his eduaction in Cand.Scient. Medialogy from 2018 at Aalborg University and a diploma in Classical Drawing from The Drawing Academy.

  • Deconstruction of game interactions irrespective of platform (XR, mobile, web..)
  • Deriving and visualizing behavioral measures from game interactions
  • Designing assistive techniques to support diverse cognitive and motoric abilities.
  • Technology for health and well-being, i.e. exercise, and rehabilitation.

He has worked in close collaboration with Danish health institutions to conduct field studies identifying needs and behavior among stroke patients and occupational therapists in rehabilitation. Recently, he engaged with studying health technology for stroke rehabilitation, where how digital storytelling in information visualization in personal informatics.
