Jeg forsker i forhold vedrørende børn og unge i udsatte positioner. Herunder har jeg særligt fokus på tre forskningsområder, nemlig:
1) Præstationspres og mental mistrivsel blandt unge
2) Betydningen af en opvækst i fattigdom
3) Tvangsanbringelser og bortadoption uden samtykke
Forskningsperspektivet er især socialt, sociologisk og strukturelt, idet jeg særligt fokuserer på forholdet mellem stat og individ samt på samfundsinstitutioners betydning for udsatte børn og unge.
Teaching profile
Jeg underviser på socialrådgiveruddannelsen og masteruddannelsen i udsatte børn og unge. Undervisningstemaerne er især børne- og ungesyn, trivsel og mistrivsel, præstationspres, børnefattigdom, tværfaglig forebyggelse og arbejde, udsatte børn og unge i folkeskolen samt aktionsforskning, aktionslæring og demokratiske metoder.
