Research profile

I am Associate Professor of Media and Communications at Aalborg University, Copenhagen. My research deals with multiple intersections of journalism, digital media, citizenship, and postcolonial theory. I am the co–editor of among others Citizen Media and Public Spaces (2016), The Routledge Encyclopedia of Citizen Media (2020), and Postcolonial Publics: Art and Citizen Media in Europe (2023). I am also the author of Citizen Journalism as Conceptual Practice (2018).

Teaching profile

I teach courses on political and citizen-led communication, digital media, reception and representation theory, aesthetics, and cultural studies. I supervise projects concerned with textual and visual media studies, digital culture, and journalism.
