Research profile
I have more than 20 years' research experience in Fermentation technologies and Eco-Engineering of microbial consortia for the valorization of waste streams into biofuels, green chemicals and biopolymers, following a Biorefinery concept. This experience was obtained both, in academic and non-academic environment. My overall interest is within the development of Defined Mixed Consortia and Process Optimization. Moreover, I have a strong focus on the biodegradation and upcycling of recalcitrant compounds such as plastics.
