Personal profile

Research profile

I am a sociologist researching the participation of marginalized groups in civil society. My primary focus is the relationship between unemployment and voluntary work, examining whether volunteering serves as a stepping stone to labor market participation for disadvantaged unemployed individuals. In my research, I combine advanced statistical analyses of register and survey data with qualitative methods, particularly biographical-narrative interviews. My work has been published in the British Journal of Sociology
