Heinrich holds a MA in dramaturgy and multimedia and a PhD in interactive installation art. His research focusses on
- participatory art and experience culture with a focus on aesthetic and performative aspects
- development of methodologies that integrates artistic and academic approaches.
- the linkage between aesthetic, aesthetic practice and health
Formerly, he worked as a theatre actor/director and installation artist. His theoretical investigations have developed in close relation with practical, artistic work.
He is the author of the books Interaktiv Digital Installationkunst (2008), Performing Beauty in Participatory Art and Culture (2014) and A Somaesthetics of Performative Beauty (2023).
Teaching profile
Heinrich is teaching and supervising students at all academic levels within the fields of aesthetics, art theory, participatory art and aesthetics, academic and artistic methodologies, problem-based learning, and philosophy of science. He teaches at programmes such as Art and Technology (BA), Experience Design (MA), Art and Health (vocational master).
