Fenella Billing is originally from Australia, where she qualified and worked in the area of criminal law. After completing a PhD at the University of Southern Denmark, Fenella's research has focused on transnational law enforcement and human rights. Fenella has worked with the principle of mutual trust in EU law. She is currently a member of the research group PolSEA (Policing at Sea) and researches migrant smuggling, migration and law of the sea.
