Personal profile

Research profile

My research is broadly situated within the environmental humanities, as I examine how sustainable and unsustainable futures are envisioned in a range of communicative forms, stretching from the future speculative worlds of literary and cinematic fictions (cli-fi) to the sustainable and unsustainable futures imagined and described by political parties, municipalities, companies, organizations, journalists, and media. Via my research I thus aim to show how aesthetic and non-aesthetic forms of communication can shed new light upon human and nonhuman conditions in the Anthropocene.

I received my doctoral degree in arts and cultural studies from the University of Copenhagen and have since then held postdoctoral positions at the University of Copenhagen and Stockholm University.
