Research profile
I am an associate professor in Music Therapy at Aalborg University, a research group member, and a member of research communication at the Center for Documentation and Research in Music Therapy, AAU www.cedomus.aau.dk
I research interactions and relationship formation, primarily in music therapy assessment but also within the fields of music therapy and neurodevelopmental conditions and music therapy and mental health. My research method is based mainly on mixed-method designs focusing on psychological, physiological, and textual variables.
Teaching profile
In the Bachelor’s and Master’s programs in Music Therapy at AAU, I teach music therapy improvisation, clinical improvisation, quantitative music therapy research, and music therapy assessment. I supervise the students' PBL projects, inclunding Master's theses.
PhD Supervision
I co-supervised the PhD project of candidate Anna Gerge at Aalborg University between 2017 and 2019. Since 2019, I have participated in three PhD pre-defences. Since 2018, I have been on several PhD assessment committees internationally.
