Personal profile

Teaching profile

My teaching is distributed on a number of the Institute's BA- and MA-programmes and cover subjects like aesthetics, experience theory, experience design, design thinking, event theory, cultural theory and analysis, sociology of taste, and philosophy of science (see my teaching portfolio for more specific information). furthermore, I have constributed to the development of elective courses on, respsectively, Event Culture, Aesthetization, and Play & Event (with a main focus on critical design).

Research profile

My research is primarily focused on non-artistic aesthetics, i.e. everyday aesthetics, design aesthetics and spatial aesthetics (eg. ambiance and atmosphere), and how aesthetic experiences, practices and expressions have an impact on people's wellbeing and actions. Currently, I am working on, respectively, a research project on the movie theatre as experiential space, and a project on critical design as a social and political practice in the intersection between art and design.
