Research profile
Since 1995, I have been researching the application of music therapy in the treatment of people with psychiatric issues. This research is primarily clinical focused research conducted at the Music Therapy Research Centre in Psychiatry (MUFiP). MUFiP has existed since 1994 and is a collaboration between the Department of Communication and Psychology and Aalborg University Hospital Psychiatry.
The focus of my research has included the treatment of conditions such as depression, personality disorder, etc.
Currently, I am investigating patients' experience of the benefits of treatment for depression. The importance of the therapeutic alliance in music therapy, mentalisation in music therapy etc.
Administrative profile
Jeg har været medarbejder repræsentant i samarbejdsudvalget på Institut for Kommunikation og Psykologi (IKP) siden 2011. I 2023 blev jeg desuden arbejdsmiljørepræsentant i netop oprettede Samarbejds-og miljøudvalg (SAU). Jeg er desuden medlem af samarbejds-og arbejdsmiljøgruppen for ansatte på IKP der er placeret i Musikkens Hus.
Jeg er siden 2021 administrativ leder af MUFiP.
Teaching profile
Jeg har undervist på bachelore- og kandidatdelen Musikterapiuddannelsen siden 1995 og fra 2011 på kurser for Ph.d. specialsering i musikterapi.
Bachelor: Musikterapiteori og forskning II på 6 semester. Projektvejledning på 5 og 6 semester. Klinisk GruppeMusikterapi færdigheder (KGMF) på 5 og 6 semester. Uviklingspsykologi 3. semester.
Kandidat: Musikterapiteori og terapiteori på 7. semester. Formidling 9. semester og specialevejledning 10. semester.
