Research profile

I have a background as a physiotherapist and as a certified sports physiotherapist. I have worked as a physiotherapist within elite sport, specialized rehabilitation, within the hospital sector and as a private practitioner before moving into the field of research.

As a researcher, I am interested in improving the treatment and management of patients with chronic musculoskeletal pain. My main research areas are within knee and hip osteoarthritis and patients with chronic pain after total knee replacement. This includes how we can identify the individual factors influencing the patient’s pain and how we can treat these factors. My overall aim is to create changes that can be implemented into clinical practice to enhance patient and clinician satisfaction.
