Jesper Lindgaard Christensen is an Associate Professor at Aalborg University Business School, Denmark. He is part of the IKE research group, which is considered in the top-ten in the world in innovation studies. JLC has researched SME development and entrepreneurial finance (e.g. business angel networks, loan guarantees, venture capital policy), economic geography, innovation systems, entrepreneurship, renewable energy statistics and innovation, and innovation policy.  His current research is on regional dynamics,  low-tech industry studies, and on reporting of climate-related financial risk disclosures among pension funds. He has a long (25 years) experience in policy analyses and -advice including work for the EU Commission, the Nordic Council, the Swedish and Danish governments, as well as Danish regions. JLC published in journals such as Small Business Economics, European Journal of Innovation Management, Structural Change and Economic Dynamics, European Planning Studies, Regional Studies among others. His most book is on Small country Innovation systems in transition (Routledge, May, 2021).
