Research profile
Research focus is on methods for analysis of information from the brain for different clinical purposes. Especially methods for EEG-analysis, rehabilitation technology, brain computer interfaces (BCI) and sleep research have been points of foci. KD was the inventor of the commercialized Nightingale Automatic Sleep Analyzer System (PhD-project), and is co-inventor of the EDF-bio-data-format, now used worldwide for exchange and storage of bio-signals. KD initiated focus on sleep research at AAU, and did also initiate research within BCI at AAU. The Aalborg BCI group was one of the first international movers using BCI in stroke, SCI and ALS neuro-rehabilitation.
