Research profile

Kristine Marie Jensen de López has a BA, MA (Cand.Psych.) and PhD in psychology and is professor of developmental psychology and co-founder of Aalborg University's Child Language Clinic. She teaches e.g. developmental psychology with focusing on the development of children and young people, inclusion of vulnerable children and young people, e.g. children with diagnoses, and test course, mixed-methods and is co-leader of the psychology degree's graduate program Children's Language Clinic under the Clinic for Rehabilitation, where she also supervises psychology students during their internship. Theoretically, her research is rooted in the socio-cultural understanding of human development, where language, communication, thinking and social skills mutually influence each other.

She is a nationally and internationally recognized researcher, e.g. in the fields of child language, personal narratives, assessment of Developmental Language Disorder (DLD), multilingualism, and has developed pædagogical tools to promote inclusion of vulnerable children, e.g. Mary Foundation's program LæseLeg (BookFun) and has contributed to evidence research of manual-based grief therapy for children and young people. She is a Danish representative in several international research networks, including JustLang, Global Tales and the Austim Committee of the International Association of Communication Sciences and Disorders (IALP).
